LANTRA AWARDS Training Courses

This is a pass/fail course and covers the safety and operation of the specified machine.
There is a theory test (questions & answers) and a practical test (tests the driver’s ability) to be completed at the end of the course.

Upon successfully passing this course, a LANTRA Certificate and Card is issued (valid for 5 years). Operators are also added to the LANTRA Professional Register.

This card is ideal for small Building companies and Landscape gardeners, who do not work on the major construction sites.

LANTRA AWARDS specialises in qualifications and training for people in the land-based sector through a network of local approved centres and training providers, of which Birkwood Plant Training is one.

LANTRA AWARDS has more than 30 years experience in this field and are an approved NVQ/SVQ and VQ awarding body for Birkwood Plant Training. However an NVQ is not compulsory with these courses, unlike the CPCS qualifications.

The LANTRA AWARDS training courses are very similar to the CPCS training courses and are delivered to the same standard.

After passing a LANTRA AWARDS course the candidate is issued a LANTRA AWARDS Certificate & Card (valid for 5 years). In addition, the candidate’s name is also added to LANTRA’s Professional Register, to enable their competency to be checked by employers, other businesses, customers etc.

Course durations range from 1 to 10 days depending on the type of plant and the candidate’s experience.
