CPCS THEORY QUESTIONS

Operators can access the CPCS theory questions prior to training, in order to see what type of questions they will be asked in the final test and to aid revision.

Under this heading, depending on what machine you require, scroll down to either
STANDARD TECHNICAL TEST SPECIFICATION FOR CATEGORIES A02 – A40 or
STANDARD TECHNICAL TEST SPECIFICATION FOR CATEGORIES A41 – A66

When you open this document up the first page will give you the A code for the machine you require (for example A17 is Telehandler).

Scroll down to the relevant questions for that machine. We suggest you print them off and answer them.

(NB be careful to select to print only those questions you really need otherwise the whole document will print!)

The actual CPCS Theory Test will be done by the candidate at Birkwood Plant Training. It is a one to one test with the candidate and the instructor in a room with a Dictaphone. The candidate will not be allowed any notes or other reference material.

The pass mark for the final test is 80%
